We slept in a little this morning, and leisurely got ourselves ready. We had some tasty cinnamon rolls for breakfast and then headed to the lake to feed the ducks. Kevin's Aunt Karen lives in a community outside of Tehachapi that has a couple of lakes and is surrounded by mountains. It is quite a beautiful, serene place to visit. The girls enjoyed feeding the ducks and playing on the playground. We hit the road again around 10:00AM to head for San Jose. One of our favorite places to eat when we're in the west is In-N-Out. Kevin and I both thoroughly enjoyed our burgers. The girls on the other hand were not so thrilled. They're pretty keen on McDonald's, so they weren't quite comfortable with a new kind of burger, and chicken nuggets weren't available. I'm sure they'll get over that! We arrived in San Jose around 4:30 and met our friends Rick and Rebecca. We visited for a while and then they treated us to a fabulous dinner at The Cheesecake Factory, which just happens to be at the best mall I've ever had the pleasure of shopping at, so we meandered around there for a while as we waited on our table. Me getting ready to devour an In -N- Out burger. ( I know no one actually wants to see a picture of us posing with a hamburger, however, it's the best I've got for today. It's a memorable moment, right?)
